The Boston Red Sox have sent Hunter Renfroe to the Milwaukee Brewers for Jackie Bradley, Jr. and two prospects.

Bradley, 31, was an important cog for the Red Sox from 2013 to 2020 before signing a two-year deal with the Brewers last offseason.

Boston also received infielders David Hamilton and Alex Binelas in the deal.

Renfroe, 29, was a pleasant surprise from the Red Sox this past season. He posted career bests in batting average (.259), runs scored (89), doubles (33), extra-base hits (64) and RBIs (96), while slugging 31 home runs.

The Miami Marlins have acquired Joey Wendle from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for prospect Kameron Misner.

To make room for Wendle, the Marlins designated Lewis Brinson for assignment.

Miami also traded Jorge Alfaro to the San Diego Padres on Tuesday.
